Process and Price List

The Portrait Process

Charcoals may be done from life, from photographs or a combination of the two.  It is often not possible to use an existing photograph because there may not be enough information on the structure or shading of the face.  Often photos will be taken by the artist for reference or from which to work directly.   A charcoal may be completed in a few weeks if the schedule is open.

 Portrait fees are listed for life size works. Please contact the artist for pricing on smaller portraits.

Only the finest artist grade archival materials are used.

Payment Procedure:
A 40% deposit is due in advance. Balance due at completion of painting and acceptance by the client. 

Group portraits priced upon request.

* Prices do not include framing, shipping, taxes or out of town travel/living expenses.
